Amazing Alaska!
United States
Amazing Alaska is every bit as great as you expect. Visit Anchorage and climb flattop mountain, go to Denali national park to see Mount McKinley and the plentiful wildlife.. Go to Seward to enjoy Kenai Fjords national Park. Another must go is the Prince William Sound!

If you like beautiful scenery with majestic Mount Mckinley in the background, wildlife around every corner (or wave for sea life) and great foods like steak, and fresh lobster, then Alaska is the place to go for you!
Start of in Anchorage and get a hang of the outdoorsy culture by climbing flattop mountain, or take a mountain bike trip through the centre (beware of moose!). Next, go north to Denali. If you go by car, be sure to make a stop in Talkeetna. Sure, it's a detour, but is definitely worth the time. This cosy town really shows he Alaskan culture; no nonsense and down to earth. You will have to eat what was freshly prepared and you won't experience choice overload by having to choose between 50 different tastes of coffee, there's just.. Coffee!
In Denali, stay at the Denali Mountain Morning Hostel: the owners have build everything you see themselves!
In the visitor centre of Denali National park, you can get informed about the activities, trails, bus tours (go to Kantishna!) and wildlife.
Next must-see is Seward, with the Kenai fjords national park. Take a hike with one of the guides to get informed about exit glacier and another cool thing to do is an 8 hour boat tour through the park. A bit pricey, but worth every penny since you will feel like you are in a fairytale wonderland - and also seeing (and hearing) the glacier from the water is really spectacular!
The Prince William sound is also worth a visit! I went from Whittier to Valdez, to Cordova and back to Whittier, I can really recommend this trip as you get to see beautiful nature as well as to experience the culture in the small, remote towns. Make sure to take a canoeing trip to Valdez glacier.
Weather is unpredictable, even in August, so be sure to pack warm clothes!
Enjoy!
