Day 1 - 3 Prince Palace Hotel
Bangkok: Prince palace hotel. Swim between the clouds!
Meet the clouds in the great hotel 'Prince Palace'. Beside the great meals, you have to visit the swimming pool and beer garden on the 11th floor. If you really want a great view, you can have dinner on the 32th floor. This hotel is near by the centre of this great city. Meet Bangkok from the water with a very great Klong tour. This Klongtour is organized by Green Wood travel and shows you 'Venice of the east'. The boat brings you to local markets, impressive temples, good restaurants and great nature. Pick in the evening a really good dinner at the busy and cosy Khao San Road. A little big touristic, but despite a recommendation. If you want to fight shy of the water, but want to discover Bangkok, go for a bicycle tour. With Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours, it's possible to discover a lot of beautiful hidden jewels. Cool (floating)markets, banana fields, local food and a lot of other great places. The most of the Thais live with a inspirational religion: Buddhism! This way of life can be experienced throughout Bangkok and the rest of Thailand, but the temples of Bangkok must be the most impressive. For example: visit Wat Phra Kaew! Bangkok is overwhelming and bizarre

River Kwai: The impressive history!
Let's go to the River Kwai. On the way to River Kwai is a cozy floating market in Damnoen Saduak. Buy delicious fruit and souvenirs and have a nice cold drink. When you finally arrived River Kwai, you can walk over the bridge and visit the scenery of the famous movie 'The Bridge over the River Kwai'. The best way to visit this historical bridge, is undoubtedly by boat. Step on board of a relaxing floating restaurant, which is dragged to the bridge (see photo), or take a speedboat for more spectacle. In the vicinity of the bridge is the greatest ice-cream of the whole trip. You have to try the coconut ice-cream. By taking the car to Chungkai war cemetery, you discover the impressive war history of Thailand. In the southwest of Chunkai is a great cave temple (Wat Tham Khoa Pun). In the second world war, the Japanese army used the cave as storage. River Kwai Village Hotel gives you a great rest, amusing entertainment and a nice environment.

Hell Fire Pass: Breathtaking history!
The Hell Fire Pass is no doubt the most impressive and breathtaking place to experience the atrocities of the second world war in Thailand. You will forget the beauty of the nature after you walk the Hell Fire Pass. During a walk, you explore how malnourished prisoner of war chopped a long road through the rocks. The Hell Fire Pass Memorial Museum tells you the impressive story about the war. You will always remember this place, and it makes you enjoy your freedom. Time for some relaxation. Go to the trainstation of Ban Nam Tok and have a good lunch. Take the train to Ta Ke Len and enjoy the beautiful views while crossing the wooden viaducts. A great place to rest is the Botanic Garden. On your floating home, you will have a great time.

Ratchaprapha: raft house in paradise!
Maybe I dare to say this place is the most beautiful place of the whole trip. It all starts with a fantastic boat trip from the Ratchaprapha Dam to the raft houses. The water is immense clear, the environment extreme green and the big rock formations are impressive. After an hour traveling by boat you arrive at the basic, but fantastic raft houses. It's the best place to dive into the water. The only connection with the land is a jungle-island. From the raft houses you can do great excursions. Climbing in the jungle, night tours with fireflies, and swimming in great caves. I will never forget this place!
